In 2015, a bold vision took root in the heart of Roxas City—

to build a space where Capizeña leadership, purpose, and sisterhood could thrive. That vision became JCI Roxas Makawiwili. Born out of the desire to empower women and make a tangible difference in the community, our chapter quickly became a symbol of strength and service, grounded in local identity and fueled by a global mission.

The name Makawiwili, inspired by the female gender symbol, speaks of unity, pride, and the power of women to lead with both heart and action. Over the years, we've launched projects that educate, heal, uplift, and inspire—each one a reflection of our unwavering belief that when women rise, communities rise with them.

From our humble beginnings to being a multi-awarded chapter recognized for innovation and impact, our story is one of passion, persistence, and progress. As we celebrate our 10th year, we look back with pride and forward with purpose—ready to shape the next decade of empowered leadership in Roxas and beyond.
